If you're like me, you probably have an idea that's near and dear to your heart that you want to get out on paper. So, you write it down, but then you realize—I have to build a cohesive story around this! But how do you defeat the big, looming threat of writer's block? How do you keep the motivation to take a project and run with it?
Welcome to Around the Block, where any writer and every writer is encouraged to come together and share their own works, take and provide feedback, and create strategies on how to get around writers' block. Whether you're writing a book, stage play, poetry—whatever medium speaks to you—we share the goal of making sure that project is seen through to the end!
Facilitated by Julia Barnes, a local screenwriter, this 18-and-up writers' group is created with the purpose of gathering folks who struggle with writers' block and /or seek feedback on their work, and seeing what we can all learn from each other as writers!
