Ordinary People by Extraordinary Artists: Degas, Renoir and Friends

Thursday, August 61:00—2:00 PMVirtual Event

Some of the most important French artists of the 19th century resisted the elitist aesthetic of the academic art tradition by emphasizing the people around them and the human experience as subject matter during a transitioning moment in the modernist era. We will start with an inside looks at Dancers in the Green Room by Edgar Degas, a reproduction is on view at the Auburn Hills Public Library as part of our Inside|Out program! During the event you will be able to ask questions, but you won’t be on screen. Participating is easy! Please follow the link, submit your zip code, and sign into the Teams Live Event anonymously.
