The Gathered Table is a cookbook club that meets once a month from September through May to try recipes from a cookbook. If you consider yourself a foodie and love trying new recipes then this is the club for you. Registration for our first meeting on September 14th opens on August 1st and we will be preparing recipes from Smitten Kitchen Keepers by Deb Perelman. All ages are welcome. Before you register please read the 'How it Works" section below.

How it Works:

• You select a recipe from the cookbook featured for the month. The cookbook and sign-up sheet are kept at the Information Services desk in the library. You will then make and bring that dish to the meeting.
• Families are welcomed to this event and your little ones do not have to cook their own dish to pass. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.
• Prepare the recipe as it is written and do not double the recipe. Please also try to keep substitutions to a minimum.
• Try to prepare your dish so it can be easily served to a large group.(ex. cut up large pieces of protein, slice sandwiches into smaller portions, etc.)
• Please bring a utensil to serve your dish. We will provide plates, bowls, silverware, etc.
• Feel free to bring storage containers for leftovers!
• DISCAMIER: We cannot guarantee that the food served at this event has not come in contact with tree nuts, soy, or any other allergens.  

Please note that AHPL cardholders will be given priority registration. AHPL cardholders MUST enter their library card number in the appropriate registration field in order to be eligible. Other registrants will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis.
